Gooooo GIANTS!!!

I am usually not a huge sports fan but I recently was given tickets to a Giant’s game for last Friday against Colorado. Me and best friend Emily (The blond one in the pics) decided to go. We had such a great time even though they lost. We were sitting in a really fun crowd that was talkative and very into the game which made it all the more fun. In the 9th inning I believe it was, Bonds was up to bat; he had already hit a home run earlier in the game so the crowd was waiting in anticipation for another possible homer. Well, he had like 2 balls and a strike and the pitcher threw a really low ball but the umpire called it a strike (should have been a ball). Barry got so mad and got face to face with the ump and started yelling at him. The crowd was booing the ump’s call during this whole ordeal. Finally, the ump threw Barry out of the game. The crowd was furious and started yelling and chanting, “Barry, Barry”.. I must admit, I was yelling also and was so mad. Then the crowd closest to the field started throwing trash all over the field in protest. It was a sight.. They had to stop the game and had a bunch of employees come and pick up all the trash. I couldn’t believe it was happening. I got it all on video. Later I come to find that Barry got thrown out because he said, “F- you” to the ump. My thoughts on the whole thing immediately changed. I hate when celebrities think they are so superior and think that they can act however they want. Our culture and society create this idea that being famous entitles people to be able to treat others this was and get away with it. Not only get away with it in this case.. The crowd totally supported him. It’s like in movies, when they want you to root for the guy with bad morals and the guy who steals the other guy’s girlfriend. Why do we sympathize with that character? I always do. Anyway, did anyone else see the game? It was very eventful..
